File Storage you can trust

ID of Life stores your files on its own decentralised network in Europe. Your files stay on servers we operate ourselves, and you decide who they are shared with — you’re in control of your own data.

Sign-up takes a minute. No card, no confirmation loop.

Different where it counts

Four things that set this apart from an ordinary cloud drive — all of them checkable.

A network we run ourselves

Your files sit on a private, decentralised storage network operated by ID of Life in Europe — not on rented space at a hyperscaler. Built to grow across independent nodes; today every file lives on our own servers.

One copy, addressed by content

Files are stored under the fingerprint of their content — the same cryptographic principle behind content-addressed networks. Identical content exists exactly once on the network, no matter how many people hold it.

Built along European law

ID of Life Ltd is a Finnish company. The product is designed around European data protection law from the start — not adapted to it afterwards.

Your data, your rules

You are in control of your own data — you decide what you upload, who you share it with, and when it goes for good.

What you can do today

Files, with a memory

  • Upload by drag and drop — several files at once.
  • A sortable list: name, size, owner, date. Preview images right in the browser; download anything.
  • Upload the same name again and a new version is kept automatically — the old one stays, with an optional change note.

Sharing, on your terms

  • A public download link anyone can open — with or without an expiry date, revocable at any time.
  • Personal sharing by username or a one-time invite link, as viewer or editor, with a message attached.
  • Every invite has a visible state — open, accepted, declined, revoked, expired — for both sides.
  • No automatic emails. You pass the link on yourself, through a channel you trust.

Your account, your keys

  • Change your username, email and password; choose how many replicas (0–3) your files keep.
  • Create your own API keys — named, with optional expiry, shown exactly once, revocable.
  • Everything the web interface does is possible through the API.

Account safety nets

Password reset, two-factor authentication and external sign-in.

Bulk actions

Select many files at once and act on all of them.

Fair questions

What does the free trial cost?

Nothing, and we don't ask for a card. You get 14 days and 100 MB to try everything. If you decide not to subscribe, your files stay readable for another 30 days before the account closes.

What happens when I delete a file?

It's gone — we ask for confirmation first. A wastebasket with restore is on the roadmap; until it ships, treat deletion as final.
